L’Ademe et l’Arcep viennent de publier un long rapport sur l’empreinte environnementale du numérique en France. L'étude a tenté d'analyser d'une manière exhaustive cette vaste question, en allant du début à la fin de la vie d'un appareil (fabrication, utilisation, recyclage), en abordant trois blocs différents (terminaux, réseaux, centres de données) et en se penchant sur plusieurs aspects environnementaux. L'étude pointe du doigt quelques gros problèmes tout en mettant en lumière certains faits surprenants.
