Le Festival de Cannes 2014 aura été marqué par de multiples interrogations sur la fiction et la réalité. Dès le film d’ouverture consacré à Grace de Monaco, les historiens et la famille princière du rocher se sont émus des multiples libertés scénaristiques présentes dans le film d’Olivier Dahan. Quelques jours plus tard, c’est un film non sélectionné pour le Festival qui a orienté tous les regards. Welcome to New Yorkd’Abel Ferrara, qui revient librement sur l’affaire DSK, a suscité l’indignation des personnalités qui ont inspiré le film. Dominique Strauss-Kahn a annoncé qu’à la différence d’Anne Sinclair il déposait plainte contre les auteurs du film pour diffamation. Ces deux exemples posent une même question : le scénariste d’un film a-t-il tous les droits ?
